Mr. Sebestik - High School Guidance Counselor
Mr. Sebestik is a Guidance Counselor at Waterloo High School. He is also the Head coach for the boys and girls Cross Country team at WJHS as well as Head coach of the girls Track Team at WJHS. Mr. Sebestik is in his 7th year at Waterloo.
Mr. Sebestik is from Mahomet, Illinois which is a small town just outside of Champaign (Home of the Fighting Illini!!!). He is a HUGE Illinois basketball and football fan. Also, Mr. Sebestik is an even bigger Chicago Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks fan.
Mr. Sebestik attended Illinois State University, where he ran Cross Country and Track & Field for 4 years. While in Bloomington-Normal, he got his Physical Education degree. After ISU, Mr. Sebestik attended Bradley University where he earned his M.A. in School Counseling. Since, working at WCUSD5, Mr. Sebestik has finished his General Administration licensure at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
A couple months after graduating from Bradley, Mr. Sebestik moved to St. Louis, MO and started teaching Social Studies and coaching Cross Country at Waterloo Junior High School. In his second year, he began teaching P.E. and Health. After teaching for a total of 6 years, Mr. Sebestik moved to the high school as a Guidance Counselor where he currently resides.
Mr. Sebestik loves to spend his time running, being active, eating at great restaurants in St. Louis, and traveling. He also loves spending time with family and friends.
